Seagull in Port Aransas

This is from one our favorite destinations: Port Aransas, Texas. It is one of my favorite photos from there taken a few years ago. I was photographing the boats and this seagull showed up and decided he wanted to be photographed.

Fun at The Great Sand Dune National Monument

This was taken last summer at The Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado. It turned out to be a really neat experience. There was a little stream of water flowing across the sand in front where everyone could play in water and sand to stay cool. When you walked out on the dryer portions of the sand the temperature felt about 10 degrees hotter.

Cottonwoods in Winter

This is a photo of the bare branches of a Cottonwood tree in the middle of winter. Cottonwood trees seem to be all over the midwest. This photo was taken in southeastern South Dakota when the temperatures were much, much less than they are now in the middle of summer.

These buffalo are on the Kreycik River View Elk & Buffalo Ranch near Niobrara, Nebraska. Their website is: http://www.nebraskaelktours.com. You get to ride through their property to see Buffalo and Elk up close and personal. It was a pretty cool experience.

More flowers! I saw these on my recent trip to Nebraska. I like the color combination in this photo. I'm not really sure what these flowers are called.

Chief Standing Bear Memorial Bridge

The Chief Standing Bear Memorial Bridge was dedicated in August of 1998. The bridge connects the gap between South Dakota Highway 37 and Nebraska Highway 14. The bridge is a memorial to the Ponca Indian Chief Standing Bear. The sun was beginning to set and produced a nice glow on the bridge.
